Well, although this book was VERY short (only took me about 30 minutes) it was a delightful read nonetheless. I loved the fact that this couple had a history. I'm not fond of stories where they meet and fall in love all in one days time. Luckily that is not the case here, although Stephen and Amelia have been estranged since the day after they married some six months before.This story was written with emotion and heart and I thought it was wonderfully done. I loved Stephen and the lengths he was willing to go to to prove his love. Amelia was a total sweetheart who even after having had her heart broken, was never bitter or spiteful. I just found it to be a deeply moving and truly touching story about not realizing what you had until you've lost it.
I was tempted to give this book five-stars which I rarely do for short stories. The reasons I didn't are the fact that it didn't feel very Christmas-y like the title implies and it really needed an epilogue. Just a page or two would have been nice since it ended a little abruptly. Still, if your looking for a quick and beautiful romance though, I'd highly recommend this lovely little story!

A Christmas Kiss is an extremely brief erotic historical by Jess Michaels.
So, because of that short, short length of story – there is really very little I could tell you that might not spoil the reading of this tale for you.
I can do this much though — Amelia was devastated to learn from her own husband’s lips that he had married her for her dowry and not for love as she had believed.
This novella is Stephen’s attempt over the week before Christmas to convince Amelia that he spoke in haste. And to win her love back.
Will he do that? It’s a fast read, that is currently free at – so check it out and discover their happily ever after.
However, there is very little Christmas in this story outside of the time frame. It might have been free, but it still was a charming, sexy little novella that I enjoyed. Having read several of Ms Michaels other Historical Romances – I would have loved to see this one stretched out a bit longer. But that’s just me. I enjoyed it and I believe you would, too.
It would seem that Amelia is one of those unfortunate highborn ladies whose money is more attractive than she is. Her marriage has, to her chagrin, been one of convenience and she has been living with her sister in the months since her discovery of this sad fact. However her estranged husband, Lord Blackgrove, has had a change of heart. He has arranged for a week of her time to woo her and convince her of his true feelings. Christmas is a time for miracles. He certainly has her body convinced.
This is fun short story read though it could have easily filled a full length novel. While typical romance fare, is is sweet and fun. Particularly special are the hot house daisies, Amelia’s favorite flower, grown especially for her and delivered daily. This tidbit is enough to convince me I should read more Jess Michaels and if it weren’t her creative author bio would be.
Very short, too short, and there is almost no story. Because of it's length, i was left with the impression that i just read a quickie porn. It's all there is in this one, right from the start till the end. The title is misleading, for there is no story at all that has anything to do with Christmas. If this book was made a little longer without the graphic contents, it could be so much more enjoyable. If you are looking for a worthwhile read, save your effort and skip this one.
I have been a fan of Jess Michaels for a couple of years, and find her books a delight to read. While searching for Christmas stories to read this year, I found A Christmas Kiss and the book description intrigued me. On top of that, it is also a FREE read on .
For such a short novella, the characters are well-defined and the story is realistic, and it is true to the Regency setting, my personal favorite read. I particularly enjoyed the fact that Ms. Michaels didn’t attempt to have a hero and heroine––who had never met before––fall in love in a matter of days. So many times that is the case in a novella particularly, and that just isn’t believable to me. While I do believe in immediate attraction at first sight, the love takes a bit longer.
Amelia, the Countess of Blackgrove is an enchanting character, and I liked her from the first page. As the story unfolds, I became enmeshed with her immediately, feeling her betrayal acutely. I love when that happens, and it’s a sign of a very talented author, which Ms. Michaels is without a doubt.
I didn’t expect to like Stephen, the earl’s character, but he shows so much remorse over his hurtful words, I truly enjoyed this hero. He sets out to woo his lady and does it brilliantly. His thoughtfulness touched my heart.
For me, this isn’t what I normally expect in a Christmas tale. Possibly if the days where he wooed her included a descriptive scene involving decorations, it would have fit my expectations better.
Nonetheless, A Christmas Kiss is very well-written and engaged me from beginning to end, and I absolutely loved the ending. If you enjoy reunion romances with plenty of spice, then you will enjoy this charming story. Happy reading!
