New Thought has been with us for longer than anyone realizes. It's not some construct of the 90's, or something dreamt up by millennials or hipsters as a way to rebel against their "old school" parents. It dates back to ancient times and is clearly evident in the teachings of prophets such as Moses and Jesus, as well as philosophers including Socrates and Plato. It's teachings can be found in lyrics from progressive rock bands like Yes, hard rockers like Led Zeppelin, and even the gentle vocals of Enya. The point being that finding an original thought when it comes to New Thought is a rare treat indeed!Kudos to Maryann Patalano for this, her debut book. She has truly found a new application for New Thought that had escaped my consciousness. As a long time "journaler" I had never quite grasped the fact that every word I was committing to writing was being put forth into the universe. My musings, my rantings, my most private thoughts were never private at all! The universe was grabbing hold of these feelings and emotions, and doing with them what the universe does... manifesting them in my life.
I strongly encourage followers of New Thought - particularly those who journal - to read this book. Not only will it change the way you journal, but it just may change the way your life unfolds.

Didn't really understand the purpose of this book. I have been journaling for many years and didn't get much from it. Seems like it is geared for new journal-ers to me.
I received this book as a gift and it is Amazing! I love how it inspires you to write from a spiritual/positive perspective. This book is great for anyone who would like to journal or someone who has had a journal for years.
I love this book . . . and have already recommended it to several friends! I appreciate the clarity of the author's writing as well as her deep understanding of the workings of New Thought. While the concepts aren't new to me, I recognize the importance of writing in my journal as if I am God. I'm doing that now, with an even greater awareness of the power of the words I write. Thanks again!
